[T-10] Bhaiya, yeh i2s2 kya he??

i2s2 is a Interaction Design project undertaken by Harish Dubey (IDD) and me, Vivek Chawda (SUID), the coolest people around in National Institute of Design, India. :)
The Project started off to solve the problem of sharing information among several users. Being Interaction Design students, we obviously thought about the interaction model first. "It has to be something new... something futuristic...". But there was a catch here.. my jury is in 10 days. We have to finish the project in 10 days. Wow, that would be a cool challenge!!!

So, we hurriedly made a project abstract and rushed to our faculty. We showed the abstract. The abstract to them was apparently too "abstract" :(
But, there was one more big issue waiting in for us. This was a semester's major project, and could not be done as a team. I now have to do the project by myself. Harish has a different project sorted out now, but will be helping me out with i2s2. YAY!! Thats what good friends are for!!! (p.s. do not refer to Harish's blog on Nibbles)

The basic hardware setup is already worked out. i2s2 has to be as low cost as possible. Hmm... Low cost + kickass interaction = WiiMote!!! God bless you Johnny!!!
Headed out to our Mechatronics Lab, got hold of few IR LED's, current limiting resistors, breadboard, DVM, power supply and bit's of jumper wires. That'll do for now. Took out my WiiMote, paired it with laptop, and I've already started getting essential data from it. What's left to figure out is the IR blob's coordinate reference point. Will get to know that as soon as the IR-breadboard is completed.
